
You know how I always complained about how writing an email inside of Gmail was so annoying because of the scrolling issue? Yeah, I’m going to shutup about that now.
I just read on iClarified that the text boxes will auto-expand as you write more, so that the days of two-finger textbox scrolling or using the magnifying glass to navigate your draft are over — as in school is out forever over! The boxes will now expand and scroll just like regular webpages on newly composed messages as well as replies (so in-line responses are even easier now). Incidentally, this expanding text box really knocks out one of the major advantages of the iGmail app that I reviewed a little while ago — although that may be a moot point, since I can’t even find iGmail in the App Store anymore (eh?!).
You know, I’m really loving these changes but I’m also realizing that I’ve never changed my e-mail system this much on a smartphone. I go back and forth from the official Mail app, the Gmail iPhone web apps, and official apps like nobody’s business. Well, I suppose it’s my business.
