TUAW recently posted some information on the past, present, and future of Evernote as a company that they obtained through an interview with CEO Phil Libin last Friday. The piece is mainly a recap of Evernote’s success (approaching two million users!), but there are some very juicy details introduced towards the end of the piece.
Evernote for iPhone might be seeing a complete re-write to support full notes caching on the device, which will make the app much more useful for iPhone or iPod Touch users who don’t have access to data or wi-fi. The Evernote API is also now in the hands of more than 600 developers, so we’ll hopefully be seeing more amazing ways to use and share the information we keep in our Evernote accounts.
Finally, Phil mentioned that the company had just received a little bit of extra funding, but didn’t really specify anything more. I’m guessing he was talking about the $10 million investment the company announced today. How many cool new features does that translate to? 😀
