Bloomberg is reporting (via Tuaw) is reporting that final approval from South Korean regulartors was granted for the iPhone, and it will begin selling in that country this Saturday, November 28th. KT Corp, South Korea’s second largest mobile carrier will begin taking iPhone pre-orders immediately.
According to Tuaw
, Apple has confirmed this announcement, but has given no comment at this time. KT however, is making as much noise about this announcement as possible. Here is what Woo-sik, CEO of KT’s personal customer group had to say about the subject:
“We are thrilled to bring iPhone to South Korea. Our customers will enjoy the power and benefits of using the revolutionary iPhone on KT’s 3G network.”
The people of South Korea will have the same selection of iPhone models as the US, that is, 16 or 32GB iPhone 3GS models, and the 8GB iPhone 3G Model.
