I can’t say I’m a huge Ace Combat fan, although I’ve played as many of them as I could on my PS2 and PSP. The series always puts you in the cockpit of an insanely cool set of fighter jets and tasks you with destroying underground bases, taking down flying fortresses with huge beam cannons, and engaging in more dog fights than even Snoopy could handle. I’ve known that the series was coming to the iPhone for a while now, but it was an e-mail with 13MB worth of screenshots that got my heart racing all over again. I have no word on price, multiplayer, or any other details right now, but I do know the game is now in line at Apple and awaiting approval, so it shouldn’t be too long now.
Here’s hoping they don’t confuse the jets for Apple logos and ban the app…
