GiggleApps is a brand new site that focuses on iPhone and iPod Touch app reviews for kids and parents. What a great idea!
The inspiration for GiggleApps stems from the number of apps developed
for children and the lack of information existing about which apps are
successful educational tools.
As many of our regular readers know by now, I have a six year old daughter and through her and other friends and family I ‘m keenly aware of how powerful an educational tool the iPhone platform is, and how much joy kids can get out of good apps for the iPhone OS.
So I ‘m very happy to see a new site devoted to this area. It ‘s one that I ‘ve already subscribed to, and that I ‘ll be sharing with my daughter very soon as well.

GiggleApps was created by its lead editor and writer, Kristen Young, and by Jeff Scott, the founder of 148apps.com and a founding member of OATS, the Organization for App Testing Standards. We are a member site in the OATS group as well “ as we believe passionately in following and promoting ethical app reviewing standards.
Although GiggleApps only launched yesterday, it ‘s looking sharp and already has a good amount of reviews up. The reviews are well organized as well “ you can browse them by age range (from toddlers to high school) or by app features “ like animals (my daughter ‘s fave), creativity, reading, shapes, and lots more.
If you have kids and iPhones or iPod Touches in your life, then this is a site you ‘re going to want to get to know well:
