Apple has introduced a new build to order option for their Mac Pro computers. Customers can now choose to add a 3.33 GHz quad-core processor, which will cost you $1,200 over the base model’s price. Additionally, both the quad-core and 8-core models are now configurable with 2TB Hard Disks, which brings total configurable storage to 8 TB. The 2TB drives cost $550 a piece.

Apple’s Xserves also saw a slight upgrade. The new Xserves are now configurable with 2TB Hard Disks, which brings total storage to 6TB. In addition, Apple now offers 4GB RAM modules, which brings the memory capacity up to 24GB on the quad-core model, and 48GB on the 8-core model.
Beastly.
