Developer Builds of Mac OS X 10.6.3 On The Way?

MC223.jpegAppleInsider is reporting that Apple may be preparing to release builds of Mac OS X 10.6.3 to developers, possibly within 48 hours.

People familiar with the matter say the forthcoming builds are likely to be released to some developers in the next 48 hours, and carry the expected prefix of 10Dxx. It is not yet known what issues Apple hopes to address with the latest update.

As you may remember, Apple released Mac OS X 10.6.2 to the public a month ago on November 9th, which brought several important fixes.

Also worth pointing out, is the fact that Snow Leopard updates have been released by Apple at a fairly rapid pace. I have no reason to believe this, but I would expect this update to be released some time around New Year’s.
