I hope you ‘ll pardon me here as I do one of our very rare interruptions to normal posting service “ one in which I ‘ll ask you all to give some thought to supporting this site a little if you have time and inclination to do so.
We hope that you find what we do here useful and / or entertaining, and that we ‘re on your list of sites you like to visit often and find good information at “ and places you know you can go for good reviews.
I do this as almost a full-time gig by now “ and as the site has drawn more readers and grown a little bigger, it has also become a little more expensive to run.
Some Site Goals
I have some goals that I want to work towards in managing the site “ put very simply, some of the key goals are as follows:
— To keep producing good, solid content “ more reviews, more tips and troubleshooting type posts, and more of whatever you all tell us you want to see here.
— To build up our readership, traffic to the site. I think our good content deserves a growing audience.
— To build up revenue for the site to help cover costs and earn from it.
— To manage the above with less ads on the site, not more. I want to gradually move towards a lower number of ads, and a greater number of ‘premium sponsor ‘ sort of ads “ i.e. from publishers and companies we are big believers in. We are already heading in this direction with ads from sponsors like Agile Mobile and CopyTrans. I also intend to continue to * not * run certain types of ads which I consider to be too intrusive “ for instance, text ads that appear within articles “ you know, the double-underline style ads you see on some sites.
— To continue to run frequent giveaway contests, where we ‘re able to offer up promo codes for some great iPhone apps and occasionally some nice iPhone accessories.
— To keep improving site performance. This year we ‘ve moved to a bigger and much better hosting arrangement, implemented some effective page cacheing, and done regular maintenance and site enhancement work to keep things going forward.

How You Can Help
As you all likely know, there are lots of ways you can help support this site. One of the biggest ones is what you ‘re doing right now of course “ just keep coming back to visit “ and of course 99% of the time, you ‘ll be reading more interesting posts than this one 🙂
