I’m actually supposed to be drawing the contest winners for the CopyTrans contest — sorry folks, no late entries because things are timestamped — but I had one of those rare moments where I saw something online and almost spit coffee all over my Mac. It’s all thanks to this little Brando USB Wrist Band Battery Pack (via iClarified).
This $35 pack is actually slightly off-topic, since it includes mini-USB adapters for almost any device except for the iPhone, but you could still theoretically attach it to one with another adapter. The USB Wrist Band Battery Pack (I giggle every time I type that) packs enough juice (1500mAh) to recharge most portable devices at least once, and enough pure, unadulterated geekiness to get you punched in the face for using one in public.
Don’t get me wrong — I absolutely want to find a way to get iPod controls or extra juice onto my wrist, but having a battery pack around my wrist that doesn’t even try to conceal its true identity…well, that just won’t do. I’d say this design is a far cry from the last Brando accessory I tried, which actually looked pretty darn cool.
