It's finally here. Google Releases Google Chrome Beta for Mac OS X

chrome-icon.jpgGoogle has finally released an official beta of their Chrome browser for Mac OS X. The new beta (build 4.0.249.30), requires Mac OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard, and it will only run on an Intel-based Macintosh.

Developer builds of Chrome have been available for some time, but is now considered complete enough by Google to slap a BETA sticker on it. Development will continue on the software, until Google feels it can push it out to their “Stable” channel. As users, we can expect to see beta revision every moth or so.

Worth pointing out, the Windows version of Chrome has been available since September of last year. Then it was reported the Mac version was to be released soon after. Then a few months later. Then in the first half of 2009. Yeah, I think they missed their self-imposed deadline.
