Even after a weak start, China Unicom has announced that they have sold 100,000 iPhones since the devices launch in China at the end of October.
The launch weekend of the iPhone in China only yielded 5000 unit sales for Apple. Sales seem to have picked up substantially in the month in a half since the launch, but 100,000 iPhones is a small slice of Unicom’s 144 million subscribers.
As previously reported, it seems like the iPhone’s high price, lack of Wi-Fi, and a flood of unofficial jailbroken iPhones already with an installed base, have made the iPhone’s launch in China lackluster.
