I haven't tried NiceList but I've tried about 5 other gift list managers and my favorite is Christmas Shopping List by iDelux. It is not the prettiest app ou there, but I like it's password protection, individual budgets, and I like the information I can see without having to click several times deep into each person's profile. (it's hard to describe but other apps have a main page then a mainpage for each person then the list page for each person…too many clicks to get to list.
