I don't think we did have that on the list. I don't have much faith in the App Store reviews, but I know a lot of folks do.

Good call – that makes sense to me.

I take other people's feedback very seriously when making a purchasing decision. As a result, Apple first needs to have a mechanism that catches when someone writes, "Best APP I ever bought, YOU MUST BUY!!" and then rates it 1 star, and vice-versa.

Once the rating system is fixed, I'd like to find Apps based on ratings (e.g., the top user-rated Navigation App).

Going a step further, I'd like to see Netflix mode, based on my ratings, how much does the system estimate that I will like an app. If I had faith in the system, as I do in Netflix choices, I'd spend more freely in the App Store, but as it is, I buy few apps, because of conflicting ratings, no demo, and no way to calibrate reviews to my personal preferences.

Also, speaking of New Year's improvements, how do I leave a comment on this site when viewing on my iPhone?

Relying on AdHoc method for beta testing is just so limited and cumbersome, since we need to maintain lots of device UDID. Besides, they may not be an active users too. It's a lot better if we could encourage the existing users to test the unreleased app.
