Over the holiday season I accidentally sat on my Rivet belt clip and bent it out of shape, so that instead of looking like an “I” and sitting snugly on my belt, it now looks like a “V” and doesn’t fit anything at all.
It turns out that this was the opportunity that my wallet had been waiting for, and before I knew it, I’d spent some $15 on a new set of Rivet clips. I bought another belt clip to replace the old one, but also another plastic hook clip. This new clip fastens itself to the belt loop on your pants, and so it hangs lower and a little looser than any other fastening solution I’ve tried so far.
The result is something that I shouldn’t break even if I sit on it, but it also sways and swings a lot more when the GorillaTube is attached. I’m happy I didn’t have to buy a new Rivet Clip, though. It’s just so durable and re-usable, and so I’ve always got the option to fasten it to my belt if this new loop clip doesn’t work out. By the way, just in case you were wondering, the Rivet pin on my GorillaTube still seems to be going strong.
