Jaybird SB1 Sportsband Bluetooth headset looks really, really good

Jaybird SB1

Oh my – the Jaybird SB1 is one very good looking BT headset. I’ve tried two pairs of headphones from Jaybird thus far and they both sounded pretty good, so I have some high hopes for this newest model of theirs. Jaybird’s older BT headset, the JB-200, was really tough to use because of an awkward fit on the ear, but the Sportsband’s adjustable design looks like it will provid a much better fit. Add to that the sub-$100 price tag, 8-hour battery life, and the water-proof controls, and , all of a sudden, the SB1 is looking like my wireless audio BFF (to use a Patrick-ism).

This stereo headset aren’t designed to be iPhone-specific, but I’m sure they’ll pair for the sound and limited pause/play functionality. You’re not going to be able to control the volume on the iPod app, though – not until Apple, in all of their infinite wisdom, add AVRCP to the iPhone’s Bluetooth stack.
