I'm the designer and producer of iBailout!!.

Thanks a lot for the review and the nice words–we're really glad that you enjoyed it.

For the controls, I’m realizing that we didn’t quite properly communicate how exactly they work, but I'm glad you figured out that you can swipe anywhere on the screen. Also, you can swipe ahead of time too (one swipe'll do it) and it’ll store that move until exactly the right time to execute it, so you’re able to input very quick maneuvers and navigate multiple abrupt corners with ease, once you realize how it works. Obviously, I don't want to dictate how you should play, but I find that using your index finger is about a trillion times easier than using your thumb and, after just a little bit of play you shouldn't have any missed turns after just a little bit of practice with it. If you go back through a little bit more, with the above in mind, I think you’ll find just how smooth the swipe controls really are. I agree that the tilt sucks, but that's just because tilt sucks–we've only got it here as a gesture to those unfortunate enough to prefer it.

And, though there's only 10 unique maps, there's really an infinite amount of levels available to play, with playtimes for an iBailout!! novice and an iBailout!! veteran ranging from just a few minutes, in the beginning, to about an hour or more, once you've got some solid iBailout!!'n skills and experience under your belt. I really feel that the liberal 1-UP bonus system (eat three mobs on one power-up run and you can also earn an extra life) gives iBailout!! a great edge and way more depth than most classic arcade games, hence our new-school description. So, I think if you're down with the arcade classics that have inspired iBailout!!'s design and development, you'll find this one to be a very rewarding and refreshing experience and addicting challenge–the tactics required for each map really change dramatically as you begin to start with more and more mobs.

Again, thanks a lot for the nice, solid review (we'll see if we can do anything about the mob's color changing) and if any readers do give iBailout!! a chance(w (please, please do–you won’t be disappointed), we’d love to hear your thoughts here, on our site, or at any of our usual social networking hubs.

More importantly, if anyone thinks they can bring it on the global leaderboard, my username’s Raul–I’m the one at the top.

Thanks, everybody.

P.S.

We’ve been nominated for Best Arcade Game in the 2009 Best App Ever Awards and, if any readers here would be so kind as to vote for iBailout!!, it’d be most, most appreciated:
