Do you know of any apps or appmods that would allow a user to "right click" a picture from the safari browser and make it the homescreen background (i.e. bypass save, settings, wallpaper, set as background)?

QuickScroll is another great app that basically gives you a disappearing scrollbar to quickly scroll thru anything, like web pages.

Yes, you can launch it with these methods:
– Volume up, then down
– Double Tap Home
– Tap and hold status bar

In reply to MikeCTZA. Ahh good catch Mike! I'll update the post to reflect Infinidock at $.99. I do use SMS quite a bit, but I just have the unlimited texting plan from AT&T so I've never been concerned about using a third-party texting solution. Also, I'd be hard-pressed to get any of my texting buddies to change the way they text me, and many of them don't have iPhones so they're texting from regular cell phones. For me, the regular SMS/MMS is well worth the cost such that I haven't been pressed to look for an alternative.

In reply to AndyM. Yep, you can do it with the volume button, but you have to be really fast. It usually takes me a few attempts to launch it this way, so I've gone with the tap and hold status bar, since I use double-tap home for ProSwitcher. Though I often also accidentally launch Snappy when trying to bring up SBSettings by sliding across the status bar, or bringing up qTweeter by dragging down from the status bar. I wish there was a way to force Snappy to wait for a slightly longer tap and hold...

In reply to John Steele. Hey John Unfortunately, AutoSilent doesn't have location awareness that I can figure out. Though I also remember seeing something one time about a location-aware JB app to control volume and profiles, but for the life of me can't remember what it was called.

Thanks for the good info. You introduced me to Snappy and LockInfo which I really like. The only thing missing from your list is tethering (for those of us without its ability).

MikeCTZA I use QuickSMS which allows you to see a popup of a new message, then reply w/o leaving your current app.

Snappy looks like it’s been updated since it’s launch. Can you now access it via the volume control buttons?

I currently use the status bar hold to launch ProSwitcher, which is why I never got Snappy.

Great overview of JB apps. Do you use SMS's much, I see you don't mention either BiteSMS or iRealSMS – for anyone who uses SMS's either of these are so much better than the stock SMS app.
Oh …. small mistake Infinidock is 99c not free as you have it listed.
Lockinfo looks pretty cool, not sure if $4.99 is the right price though, I;'d only use the calendar nothing more so for that is a bit pricey, will stick with Lockcalendar for now.

Good choices… I use the LockInfo plugin for Cydget Lockscreens… which allows me to have more than one "Lock screen" and access programs such as iPod(iLockMisic),l twitter,Facebook and CyDialer without having to unlock the phone… I have the Weathericon that runs on the top taskebar but would like to have the weather(five day forecast) on the Lockscreen like on the full version of LockInfo. There was a Cydget plugin for this but for some reason it has been pulled down? I may have to try Infinidock? I have a five icon dock and use Categories with the new CategoriesSB(Spingboard) add on to speed up access to programs.I have over 180 apps(icons) in 8 categories… I can find/ launch any of them very fast now… I have three screens total now… (Searchlight, a blank Home screen with only the dock showing and the current wallpaper/ video wallpaper and a hidden/ sliding app/ categories page…
