A free app that connects as well, but it does not support multiple displays/monitors. This app said it did, so I downloaded and installed the free version first. My Intel G5 I installed it on has 4 displays connected, but this app did not show the icon for multiple displays to allow me to switch back n forth between them all. I’m wondering if my “supports multiple displays” they simply mean two? Not three, or four, or five, or six? That is the main reason I’d pay the current price of $7.99 for this app’s full version. I have an iMac, a G5 with 2 displays, and an Intel G5 with 4 displays. I want access to em all. But all that wishing aside, this app is way better than NTRConnect. There is a “lag” to actually seeing on your iPhone what you have just done on your desktop, but you’ll get used to that I guess. It keeps the display quality though, even over 3G, and doesn’t knock it down lower and lower the way NTRConnect always did. The worse your connection, the lower NTR would bump down your display quality on the iPhone.

I can zoom in & out and the image is clear enough so I could type text if I were so inclined.

In my few tries with remote desktop software I have been pleased with the performance, but a little bit reality checked over some of the resolution issues I faced.

XP Home does not provide Remote Desktop connection capabilities – so the lack of support for it in WinAdmin is not the app's issue, it's an XP Home limitation.

I like WinAdmin a lot too. It uses standard MS terminal services (RDP) to connect – so you do need to configure firewalls and similar to allow that traffic.

That's a great tool. It doesn't require any setup on the server except enabling remote access to it. I think it's cheaper too.

Any reason to buy RDM+ ?

I use RDM+ and find it to be an excellent tool to use in the field. You might also want to check out their web access which allows you to control any of your computers using a web browser. I did a full review of this app as well as their web client on AppShouter.com. You'll find my review at
