If you are a parent concerned about your childs safety with a baby-sitter you would likely go through the effort of going through the normal (read: slower) channels of gathering your information.

Corporations, police and government agencies have their own reliable methods of verifying an individuals background based on their needs. Which last I checked did not include the price and value of one's home or their neighbours names (as Showbizz3000 said this app provides).

This app will likely serve the needs of people with malicious or mischievous intents while providing information many people consider to be private (publicly available or not) out of context.

Yes it's a bit more accessible. But that's why you call them public records. But I do believe it's a step in the wrong direction for society instead of talking to a person, you just look up their background and base your judgment on their past? Not the best choice IMHO

I was unpleasantly surprised as to how much information was publicly available when I did a test search on myself! Relatives information, the price and value of my home, neighbors names and phone numbers…
I can definitely see this app having leading to a lot of negative situations. I'd say about a 80/20 bad to good ratio of use!
