Good thoughts. I agree it might be nice to have an option available for slightly longer review text, or perhaps to rate apps in a few areas – interface, features, gameplay, for example.

Furthermore the 60 character limit has spending more time rephrasing my review as I struggle to fit more than a single clause within that constraint. It also means peoples reviews are not very useful as they can not elaborate on the features worked well and those that didn't.

These two failings (IMO) defeat the purpose of the app. For instance consider the note taking apps Awesome Note and NoteMaster. From my (limited) experience with these apps, the prime difference between the two is Awesome notes management of notes and visual flair and NoteMaster's ability to insert images inbetween text. I've yet to see this difference illustrated in Chomps reviews.

While this may not be an issue for apps such as the above mentioned that offer 'lite' versions, there are apps which carry a price tag. When one is required to spend money on a product I think it becomes apparent that sixty characters of text and a heart do not qualify as an incentive to part with one's money (especially when one can not differentiate between two or more similar apps).

This is not a rebuttle to your review; nor am I saying the app is bad. Just inherently flawed. Recommendations need to reflect the user's preferances based on their reviews and what they dismiss (that should serve to help with the 'bikini babes' issue); an increase in character limit to 80-90 would allow for more meaningful reviews while still being succinct and it may be of interest to trial a seperate review system for App Celebrities in which they have the option to write an a more indepth review of 300-500 characters.

Just my thoughts. Thanks for the review.
