MoneyBook updated to 1.4: added incomings, landscape graphs [iPhone App Updates]

MoneyBook (reviewed here) was updated last night, and I think the app has become a lot more viable to a lot of users. Instead of only handling expenditures, the app can now  record “incomings” (deposits) for the times that, you know, you actually make money instead of bleeding it out at some Apple Store somewhere.

Deposits are made in a similar fashion to expenditures, but you have to swipe left on the category selection to choose one of the three ‘incomings’ categories, so that the  transaction shows up in green (instead of blue, like expenditures).

The other very noticeable change is the addition of the landscape mode graphs: just tilt your iPhone sideways on the Transaction or History tab to see a visual representation of how much poorer you’ve made yourself in this month or previous months. There are a few other changes (listed above), but these are the ones that I noticed immediately.

With this update, MoneyBook has become what I perceive to be the ultimate monthly spending recorder. It still won’t work if you want to keep an overall record of the amount of money you have to spend, but if you intend to keep a tight monthly budget and track your savings elsewhere, then MoneyBook should be perfect.
