Hmmm, maybe so – I din't even think to check the file names that closely, just went ahead and switched to public release. Should've thought of checking that.

I think, the GM release, 8A293, is exactly the same as the ‘Final Release.’ No need to download and install the final. version. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s the info I've gathered so far. GM = 8A293 = Final Release. No changes from the GM.

There are a whole bunch of direct links on other sites. They don't host them, they just show where Apple keeps them on official servers.
