I had a reservation at Apple store. Got there at 8pm saw the big line and left. Called apple store, told them i had a reservation, and they told me they would put the phone on hold until friday. walked in friday morning, no line, no wait, and had the phone in 5 minutes. seems like a better way to spend ones time…

According to the count in the morning I was about 170th in line for people who did not reserve a phone. The line for people who had reservations went about twice as fast as the line I was in. So in 12 hours Apple was able to activate and sell probably about 800 phones considering a lot of people pre-ordered more than one. That's about one phone per minute just at this store. It seemed like it took forever, but after figuring out the numbers they were turning them over pretty quickly!

I was number 7 in line for an iPhone but was never called. I called Best Buy myself and they were baffled as to why I wasn't in there yesterday to get my phone. I am still waiting for a call from the supervisor…
