Mophie boost and reserve: recharge your iPhone at twice the speed

Mophie claims that their smart battery technology can charge at “twice the current as traditional 500mAh [output] batteries”. This means that the 1000mAh reserve and 1500mAh boost should charge your battery up twice as fast as other external battery packs (which usually aren’t as fast as charging from the iPhone’s AC charger), and their gorgeous new design means they’ll look kickass while doing so.

The boost and reserve are “Klingon” chargers (they stick on the bottom of the iPhone), but they feature one of the most compact and hi-tech designs I’ve seen thus far. They feature a MacBook-like LED system to indicate battery life, and the 30-pin connector can be concealed with a flick of a switch — like a geeky (and harmless) switchblade.

The boost ($60) isn’t available for purchase  on the Mophie Website yet, the reserve ($40) is. You can also apparently pick at least one of these two models up at your local Best Buy (thanks, Brent).
