Apple® today announced that it has sold over 1.7 million of its iPhone® 4 through Saturday, June 26, just three days after its launch on June 24.
That ‘s nearly double the first three days total for the iPhone 3GS last year. Having heard about the massive rush on the first day pre-orders were available, and having seen the enormous lines on launch day (for 12 hours!), I ‘m not surprised at all at the huge sales numbers. In fact I was expecting a bit higher “ and definitely get the feeling they would be considerably higher if supply didn ‘t run short so quickly.
