Images of a 3X3cm Apple branded touch screen have been published by Tw.apple.pro. This site has displayed legitimate images on their site before of then-unreleased Apple products, such as iPhone 4 parts. Reading the translated page shows that the posters aren’t sure what this would be used for. Their guesses range from a touch enabled iPod nano, a touch enabled iPod Shuffle, or even a wristwatch.
In short, no one knows what it is, but it does appear to be a authentic, Apple-branded part. We’ll keep you updated if we hear more about this odd discovery.
