Although the volume buttons controlling the shutter sucks, you can't argue this is still a really great camera app. (Yes, the volume button not included annoys me too!) I think they showed that video in hopes enough people complain to Apple that they reconsider. Not likely, but still a thought.

This is a HUGE disappointment. The only reason I purchased the app was for the volume button shutter control.

Actually I read on the tap tap tap blog that Apple rejected their app when they first submitted it because they do not allow remapping of the volume buttons. So they took it out and the app was then put into the app store.

But that still doesn't make sense of how Bettany used it in the video if it's v1.2…

There is at least one app in the App Store that does the volume shutter button. Unfortunately I can’t recall the name.

I'm actually kinda annoyed that there is no volume button controls for taking photos. I'm pretty sure that's what we saw in that video, and I feel that it was falsely advertised as so.
