I think they showed that video in hopes enough people complain to Apple that they reconsider. Not likely, but still a thought.

Actually I read on the tap tap tap blog that Apple rejected their app when they first submitted it because they do not allow remapping of the volume buttons. So they took it out and the app was then put into the app store.

But that still doesn't make sense of how Bettany used it in the video if it's v1.2…
