Quick Note: Apple Pushes New 'Snow Leopard Graphics Update' to Developers

MacRumors is reporting that Apple has seeded a new piece of software called “Snow Leopard Graphics Update” to developers. It’s still unclear what the update will do, but developers are being asked to test in areas such as VRAM utilization, hot-plugging, and wake-from-sleep issues. The accompanying release notes simply state the focus of the update is on the reliability of “graphics application and games.”

It’s also unclear as to whether this will be a standalone update or will be incorporated in the forthcoming Mac OS X 10.6.5 update release, that Apple has scheduled to begin seeding to developers any time now.
