Remember that video of Camera+ that showed the photographer pressing on the volume buttons as if they were mapped to the shutter? It turned out that was just an internal build of the app because Apple rejected the feature when tap tap tap first tried to implement it.
However, because they are brave soldiers developers, they have resubmitted the feature in their latest update, and are more confident about being accepted this time around. So confident, in fact, that they’ve added another feature: the ability to use your wired headset’s volume buttons to snap pics.
It turns out that other apps have mapped functionality to the volume buttons before and have gotten away with it, so hopefully this plea of “how come they can do it?!” works…
