D’oh! VolumeSnap was rejected by Apple (again)

Remember when we posted about VolumeSnap for Camera+ being resubmitted and everything was double rainbows and happiness? Sigh.

Well, it looks like VolumeSnap (which maps the shutter button to the volume buttons on the iPhone) has been rejected once again. Despite the fact that there are other apps on the App Store that use the volume button for things other than device volume, Apple has chosen to stand their ground, claiming that those other developers simply snuck the feature in.

The folks at at tap tap tap don’t seem terribly discouraged, though. Instead of backing off, they’ve submitted a formal feature request to Apple to allow the volume button to be used for other purposes. Here’s hoping that Apple sees the light, just like they did for flashlight apps.
