He has the camera he wanted in the Touch that my younger son ended up with. Wait till they see the next Touch though……

I upgraded to iOS4 and did a quick visit to Jailbreakme.com and everything is back to normal. In fact, it almost seems FASTER than before.

I’m still going to upgrade to a larger device as the 3.5″ screen is too small for my fingers. Now that I’m old, I can’t read the screen very well either.

All the kiddie games and educational stuff that he used to play on my 3GS work perfectly on the 3G and everyone's happy with the arrangement.

It wasn't nice from Apple to just forget about all 3G users. Our iPhones might not be as cool, but we still are iPhoners.

At least our antennas work U_U

After upgrading to iOs4 everything crashed and normal things took forever. After getting the iPhone4 just recently also made me love the phone all over again.. Those same apps that wouldn't work or took forever work perfectly.. But don't tell until I sell my 3G on eBay!!

i bet they will call it the 4G (because that network will come up in 2012 as i heard)
hope i'm not dreaming 🙂

It's clear that Apple are trying to make us upgrade because if they wanted to they could have either told us not to upgrade or made sure that 3Gs did work (in the same way they've decided we can't have wallpaper or multi-tasking).

Whilst I accept that it's only half as powerful a phone, it's really quite pathetic that apple is treating loyal customers this way, and along with their original arrogance over antennagate and ridiculous high pricing is making me question sticking with them as a long-term and loyal customer. My other concern is that the resale value of the iPhone 4 isn't likely to be too good given that future versions are unlikely to have the problematic antenna – so I am not going to upgrade until the next version comes out – or i may even go for an Android phone instead.
