I dropped my iphone 4 accidentally into the train water upto 10 hours.

Hi, I had iced tea spill all over my iphone and i did as instructe and it still does not work. It has been quite sometime now and should i try it again or just send it in? I need help! I am lost with an old envy!

Nikki, Have you received your phone back? where there any hidden costs? My daughter dropped her iphone 4 into the toliet and we have it in rice right now hoping that will bring it back, but if it doesn’t I was considering sending it to ifixyouri.
I wasn’t sure if it was just the cost that you pay upfront or are there more costs after the repair ??, Thanks 🙂

My 32gig white iphone 4, got dropped into, of all things, sunscreen, its on its way right now to ifixyouri, in florida, the people there are one of the only places brave enough to tackle the problem, and the ONLY people willing to do it at a fair price, will post again, once I get the phone back, as to how well the repairs went.

You probably just need to get the camera replaced. My wife had a very similar incident with her iPhone 3G, and we found a good local iPhone reapir tech who came and swapped in a new camera for around $30.

Hi! I really need help!
So my iPhone 4 went for an unexpected swim in like maybe 3.5cm of water, it was in there for about 5 seconds max and luckily, it didn’t reboot or anything!
The plastic hard cover is kinda hard to get off, so I just dried the surface and the insides of the earphone jack and charger thingy.
I checked everything and it was fine, the cameras and all worked pperfectly.
At first the earphone jack wasn’t working, but I managed to get that fixed.
But the next day the camera wasn’t working. I would try to open it but the virtual shutter would stay shut. The secondary camera isn’t working either.
I really wanna get this fixed on my own, please please please help!

Hello,
Its 20 days past now, my iphone 4 got water damaged. I went to snorkeling with some friends. We kept all phones in a cavity of a small launch. After the trip when we opened the cavity, it got water ( Salt water )there. I got really…..
you know. In the same day a friend of my cleaned that with chemical. Now its showing to restore. But the process does not complete. It shows an error message (error code 1611,23).Pls anyone help me.

In reply to Molly. My wife's iPhone 3G once got an accidental soaking. I don't recall seeing a while light, but maybe a bit of a white stain appearance on it - it's been a while, not sure. The camera was the only thing that stopped working once it was dry though. We were able to find a great local guy to swap out the camera quickly for her at a very reasonable price.

So I accidently dropped my iPhone 4 in the toilet. I was furious at myself for putting it in my back pocket, but oh well. Anyhow, I have it soaking in a bag of rice right now, hoping that it will come back to life within a few days. In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone knows why there would be a white light on on my phone? It appears to be the camera, but I'm not sure. I turned the phone off before immediately after dropping it, then placed it in the rice. The light came on a few minutes later. I've googled like crazy trying to figure out what it is, but to avail. Could someone please help?

I was at Sea World this weekend enjoying my iPhone 4, not really connecting the dots between this ride guarantees you'll get soaked, and my favorite piece of tech.

Lucki,ly a wrap in a spare shirt and covering my pants pocket for the ride preserved my iPhone. After that, I really thought of how screwed I'd have been if it would have been damaged. After all, it was my source of navigation, my main source of communication, and held my entire itinerary including information necessary for me to travel back.
