This brings up a question of being meaning to ask. I love my iPhone 4 and I think reception is outstanding. I have used a bumper everyday since launch. I really don't like the look of the bumper, and want to go naked, but given that every antenna is on the OUTSIDE of the phone, I am really concerned about potential damage. Not from drops, but from laying it on concrete or just general nicks. I don't want a body shield or skin.

So my question is: What's been your evaluation of how well the chrome antenna has held up if you've left that part exposed. I am not asking about reception or death grip. I want to know if it has gotten dinged up, or if you take decent care of your phone if that part is relatively resilient. Any takers?

I did however, discover kapton tape, which is designed better for this. Search anteneagate and kapton tape on ebay and you will find it.
