I mentioned a few days back that a real old school iPhone favorite, iRovr (from back in ancient days before the App Store) is on its way back “ this time in the form of a native iPhone app. The folks over at Rated G for Geek have now got a nice Sneak Peek post up about the upcoming iRovr app, and they seem quite impressed with it.
iRovr.com, once a popular social networking web app, is bringing a fresh look to keeping up with iPhone friends. This is different from any other iPhone social networking app I ‘ve tried before. After taking it for a test run, I ‘m amazed at how feature-rich it is, while still being easy to use.
The app sounds very good, I ‘m keen to see it when it ‘s released, which is expected to be in early September. My only wish on the preview post is that the screencaps were a little bigger. Check it out for yourself here:

Update: Thanks to Bill for his comment below. iRovr has updated the iRovr.com page since last week. There are some nice screencaps there now, and a list of some of the app ‘s cool features.
