I used to be on my ipod touch all the time. One time I stayed up until 3 with it and couldnt put it down. Then i quit using it for 2 full days. Later i got an iphone 3g which i dont feel a need to use all the time, as it is not as fun on slow 4.2.1
I quit installing and deleting apps, and now, it isn’t so vital, and i usually use the music or phone functions

I would say my iPhone is on my person or within a foot of me 99% of the time. I won't leave it anywhere I can't reach over and pick it up.
