This is but the first of two calendar app updates I’ll be posting in the next ten minutes.

QuickCal Mobile ($0.99) is an excellent app for quickly entering event details without having to fiddle with menus and fields — you just type things out and an event will be created with all the details filled in. I complained a little about the appearance of the app in my review, and it just so happens that this newest version sports a newer, more friendly UI. The whole thing looks much more like an iPhone app, instead of a port of a Mac widget.
