My friend just got an iPhone 4 and his work schedule can be pretty erratic, so I thought we’d try sharing Google Calendars for a little bit to see if it would make scheduling easier. He shared his schedule with me and I saw it instantly on the desktop, but it wasn’t popping up on my iPhone, despite the fact that I have my Google Exchange account set to sync all my calendars (see link below for instructions). Then I read a tip this tip from “89serenity” over on the Google Help forum:
Once you have set the calendar sync with Google done, you need to visit m.google.com/sync from your iPhone using Safari and select your friends/shared calendars.
That turned out to be the ticket. I simply loaded up m.google.com/sync in my iPhone’s browser, selected all the calendars that I wanted synced to my iPhone, an then loaded up Calvetica to see them. I keep most other calendars hidden by default, but I think this could definitely useful for quick schedule comparisons in the future.
