Apple has posted a preview page for iOS 4.2, the version of iOS that will finally bring iOS 4 functionality to the iPad. Currently, Apple has a release timeframe of “November” posted on the page.
iOS 4 is the world’s most advanced mobile operating system. And soon iPad owners will get to enjoy its 100+ new features and innovations — including multitasking, folders, printing, and more. Look for iOS 4.2 coming in November for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.1
The main features that will be introduced, and iPhone 4 and soon to be iPod touch users have been enjoying since July. That is specifically, multitasking and folders.
I feel that this update will set iPad apart from traditional computer, and make it a very viable replacement for notebooks. Printing and multitasking being the foremost two improvements that will help in educational, and enterprise settings.
I can’t wait for November to get here.
