For a little over three years this site has focused on bringing you great content related to the iPhone and what we now know as the iOS platform. iPhone app reviews, iPhone news and rumors, jailbreak news and advice, rants and raves about the App Store, and all sorts of other iPhone-related articles.
For many of us on the site, the iPhone has acted as a ‘gateway drug’ leading us to switch to or increase our usage of other Apple products, from iPod Touches to Macs and MacBook laptops and more. By now, the majority of us who write for the site are not just big fans of the iPhone, but of the entire ‘fleet’ of iOS devices and Macs and other Apple goodies. So we’re going to broaden our minds and our horizons a little here.
We’re going to stick to our core policy that has always dictated what we cover here:
stuff that interests us
That hasn’t changed. We’re just going to recognize that there are a number of other things that interest us now … not just iPhones.
Mind you, there will be limits to our ‘broadening’. We won’t be covering other mobile OS platforms or Windows PCs. We’ll stick to being Apple fanboys (and fangirls).

Forums: We’ve been enjoying the conversations with all of you, via our comments system, more and more over the years. But it’s hard to really get into a conversation via the comments … so we’re going to be adding forums soon. We hope these will really open up deeper and better conversations, and allow all of you to interact a whole lot more with our awesome group of writers. Let us know your latest thoughts on apps, devices, and Apple gear. Tell us what you’d like to see us covering more of, or even less of. All of us are looking forward to this new element of the site very much.
New Focus, New Name: As the site has grown, our slightly self-deprecating name has seemed less and less appropriate. Now, with our expanded coverage and focus, we’ve also got a lovely new name that better represents what we’re all about. We’ll soon be re-branding the site and changing the site name to iSource.com.
Our expanded coverage will be starting right away. The forums and name change are expected to happen over the next several weeks.
We’re very excited about these changes and we hope you will be too. We’d love to become one of your favorite sources for great iDevice and Apple related content.
