Following the update of iTunes 10 recently, many users have expressed their dislike for a lot of the changes Apple has made to the appearance of the application. In particular, to its new logo. One disgruntled user was so unhappy with the icon’s new design that he took the time to let Steve Jobs know via email what he thought.
If you’re one of the people who hates it, we have good news for you: it’s incredibly simple to change the logo of iTunes on your Mac. MacLife has provided a simple step-by-step guide to get you sporting the old iTunes 9 icon, which can be found here.
Personally, I’m a big fan of the new icon. The removal of the CD was needed because who uses them these days? The icon was due an update, and I feel its simplistic design is Apple all over. It also fits in perfectly next to the recent Quicktime icon in my dock!
What do you think of the new icon? Love it or hate it, let us know in the forums here.
