The Latest iOS 4.1 Software update brought us Game Center: a social gaming network to help iDevice gamers connect, compete and compare.

If you’re one of those users that registered then ponder “What now?” then worry no more, as many developers have started the process of updating their apps to make it Game Center enabled.

Apple also created a specific featured section in the app store listing games as they are enabled to help users identify which games can be played and tracked to your Game Center profile. With just over a dozen currently available, Flight Control and Farmville By Zynga are leading the popularity stakes in that section.

Launch Game Center on your device and under the ‘Games’ tab hit Find game Center Games to be taken straight to the featured section in the app store.

Gaming on Portable iDevices  has been compared in many ways to the big boys in this arena, since  Sony and Microsoft also have their respective networks. If these comparisons were to be taken seriously then Apple had to step up with such a similar network, and so they did!
