Reeder for iPhone ($2.99 – review) is far and away my favourite RSS app on the iPhone, so seeing this tweet from @viticci teasing the upcoming Mac version is pretty exciting. I really do mean teasing, too — there are no other details available on the Reeder website, but for the announcement and a silhouette of an iMac.
I’ll definitely be checking the Mac version out now that we cover all things i-related, but I also wonder how long I’ll actually use it. I try to run a pretty tight ship on the Mac and have many of my “apps” loaded up as tabs within Chrome.
The Mac app will have to be pretty amazing for me to add another icon to my dock, but, then again, if anybody can impress me with a clean, usable interface worthy of a native app, it’ll be the devs who bowled me over with Reeder in the first place.
