AppleInsider is reporting that Apple may be in the late stages of product testing for new FaceTime-enabled iPads.
A version of the tablet device with a built-in video camera and support for the new FaceTime video conferencing standard has already progressed to the advanced testing stages, according to a person with proven knowledge of Apple’s future product plans.
Claims are already surfacing that we should expect the next-gen iPad no later than the first quarter of 2011, while other claims say we could see them even sooner than that. Other hints that the next-gen iPad will have a FaceTime camera, is the FaceTime debugging software that has been found, which is very similar to the debugging software that was uncovered just prior to the iPhone 4 launch.
