A new commercial for Amazon’s Kindle takes aim at the iPad and mocks it’s inability to be used in bright sunlight and it’s premium price tag. The ad (above) shows a gentleman struggling to read a book by the pool on a nice bright day, while the lady beside him has no problems with her $139 Kindle.
Admittedly the iPad is difficult to see in direct sunlight, and the Kindle’s e-ink screen doesn’t suffer this problem. However, I’d like to see her load up Angry Birds on that thing when she’s finished her book.
