The long-awaited open-source media player, VLC, has now been approved by Apple and is available to download for your iPad in the App Store. It’s a free download from developer, APPLIDIUM, and because it’s a cross-platform application, it will play nearly every codec there is.
If you don’t already use VLC on your Mac or PC, I seriously suggest giving it a try. It’s really handy to have a media player with support for so many codecs!
