Stolen iPhone 4 Prototype Case Coming to an End, Steve Jobs was Interviewed by Police

CNET is reporting that the police investigation regarding the iPhone 4 prototype that was lost/stolen in a Bay area bar last spring, is reportedly coming to an end.

Stephen Wagstaffe, chief deputy district attorney for San Mateo County, Calif., told CNET today that police are close to wrapping up their theft investigation and could forward their final report to his office within the next few weeks. Wagstaffe will then review the information and determine whether to file criminal charges.

Wagstaffe, also stated, without revealing any specific details, that a number of Apple employees were interviewed, including Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

As you know, an Apple engineer had an iPhone 4 on his person as a part of field testing, the device was subsequently lost or stolen from a bar in Redwood City, California in March. Gizmodo bought this device and wrote up a story on it. The law caved in on everyone involved, and here we are today.
