Diptic for iPhone and iPad is free for today only

Now I had no idea what Diptic (normally $3.99) was before today, but it seems like a fun little app to play with — especially for free 🙂

Diptic’s interface is quite simple: you choose a layout, throw pictures into it, manipulate the contrast, orientation, and borders of said pictures, and then either e-mail or export the resulting masterpiece. The final pictures look quite good, but I was a little disappointed to find out that they don’t make good iPhone wallpapers (on account of their being square, instead of rectangular).
