Photo Surfaces Showing iPad With Dual Dock Connectors

Mission Repair has posted an interesting photo showing the backside of an iPad with two dock connectors. That is to say, one dock connector on the short side (like we have today), and one on the long side.

Ask and you shall receive: Here’s a shot of an iPad back case showing the dock connectors both on the bottom of the iPad (as we’re used to) and on the side of the iPad so you can dock it in landscape mode. Just as we hoped.

This photo is very reminiscent of an Apple patent application that has surfaced showing that Apple had intended to build two dock connectors in the device. Also, Mission Repair believes this is the design of the next generation iPad. Alternatively we’ve heard that the next-gen iPad will have a thinner design reminiscent of the iPhone 4.
