iPad Coming to Wal-Mart

MacRumors is reporting that they have received several photos of an internal Wal-Mart memo informing stores that the company will be offering all six iPad models, alongside a number of accessories and AppleCare. That said, each location only appears to be getting an initial stock of 5 iPads of each storage capacity.

The second photo MacRumors received states that Wal-Mart plans to roll the iPad out to 1000 stores by the end of October, and an additional 800 stores slated to be added in November.

Stores will have displays with a live demo unit in a case with a looping video demonstrating the iPad’s capabilities.

Lastly, just to bring credibility to this report, MacRumors has published a photo they received of an iPad already on shelves in a Wal-Mart located in Denver, Colorado.

Again, we should have seen this coming. Wal-Mart announced earlier this year that the iPad would be coming to their stores by year’s end. Couple this fact with Apple now producing enough iPads to meet demand, and the iPad coming to Target, it was a matter of time before Wal-Mart got their turn.
