The popular Amazon and Yahoo Messenger applications for iOS have received updates recently, and both have introduced some great new features!
Amazon’s popular shopping application for iOS was updated recently to introduce a barcode scanning feature for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. Using your device’s camera, you can now scan a product’s barcode and Amazon will tell you within seconds whether you can get a better deal online.
The update to ‘Yahoo! Messenger’ introduces voice and video calling, which is free to your Yahoo! Messenger friends. You can also make low-cost calls over the internet to landlines and mobile phones. The update also introduces multitasking support to the application so that it will remain running in the background, without the need to have the app open on devices that are compatible with this feature.
